【あらすじ】
～今をさかのぼること数百年前...突如、常世から姿を現した悪しき神霊たちは、現世において悪逆非道の限りを尽くし、人々を畏れさせた。だが、ある時ひとりの若き僧が法力をもって各地に跋扈（ばっこ）する神霊たちを祓い（はらい）、永月寺にある御神木の根元の祠に封印。その後、歴代の住職は『祀り人（まつりびと）』として、その役目を果たし、世の安寧を願い続けた～この物語は、主人公の若き僧“一空”（いっくう）が、謎に包まれた相棒の神様“眠兎”（みんと）と絆を深めながら、悪しき霊達との闘いを繰り広げる霊能バトルファンタジーである。

穏やかな口調とは真逆の、どこか威圧的な「鳳（おおとり）」に対して、一歩も引かない「御婆婆（おばば）」...そして両者の緊張が高まり、ついに…。その頃、『北千道』に向かうため西新地の駅から蒸気機関車に乗り込もうとしていた「一空（いっくう）」と「眠兎（みんと）」。心落ち着く、ほんのひと時。だが、その背後から新たな脅威が迫ろうとしていることを、二人はまだ知らなかった...
